Overview

The Brooks Elementary School is a 72,800 SF new K-5 magnet school. Facility Strategies Group (FSG) along with their partner BECS' provided MEPFP and envelope commissioning services. Our tasks included review of OPR/BOD documents, design reviews, preparation of Cx Plan, review of drawings/specs and approved submittals, preparation of pre-functional and functional forms, envelope and MEPFP inspections, equipment start-up witnessing, envelope mock up and water testing, equipment functional testing, TAB review, training review, commissioning log maintenance, final report and close out documentation. Systems commissioned include the building envelope, air cooled chiller, energy recovery unit, boilers, pumps, air handling units, VAV terminal units, energy recovery unit, building automation systems, hot water systems, interior and exterior lighting systems, intercom, emergency power generation system, DSS units for elevator control room, and the fire alarm system.
