Building Science Research, Building Code Analysis, and Inspections
FSG routinely inspects commercial and residential to determine needs, analyze building failures, and provide expert witness litigation support. Services include:

Design, Project Commissioning and M&V
As owner’s representative, FSG assures design intent carries through from design & specification to construction, operations, and maintenance. Services include:
♦ Design and design phase review & feedback, including consideration of installation and code requirements, capacity relative to load, fuel switches, comfort & humidity requirements, and operation and control strategies
♦ Installation & start-up phase commissioning, including functional performance testing, building code reviews, assessments of construction practices and standards of care, inspections of substantial completion, and review of maintenance procedures & training manuals

FSG works closely with building owners and managers to plan, implement, and support performance contracting initiatives. Service offerings include:
♦ Independent assessment of a project’s economic potential, including review of approaches that best integrate energy performance contracting into modernization & maintenance programs
♦ Due diligence throughout the process—ESCO selection, project development, design & construction, and project repayment
♦ Analysis of performance, policy, and contractual issues, including savings shortfalls, waiver requests, adjustments to performance baseline, and performance guarantees

Integrated Planning for Utilities, Maintenance, and Capital Improvements
